Investigator's Support Services serves only those persons & businesses authorized by the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, and the subsequent regulations adopted by the Federal Trade Commission to receive such information. On February 15th, 1979, I began my career in the private investigation field when I answered an ad and went to work for Immendorf Investigations of San Francisco, California. Two days later, I met Fred Valis. I was teamed up with him by Jack Immendorf two days after going to work. It was the start of a life-long partnership.I soon learned that I had a knack for searching thru public records databases. A few years later, I left Immendorf and went to work for Backstreet Investigations owned and operated by Fred Valis, who had left Immendorf a year earlier. In 1982, Investigator's Support Services was founded, originally to provide research services exclusively for Backstreet Investigations. When I first started in the business, I would spend days in dusty courthouse records rooms pouring over files. Today, I spend less then 2 days a month doing so. Most of my work is done from my computer at home. Over the years with the continued addition of resources available, law enforcement and the investigative news media began to turn to me for assistance in the use of these resources. Many of those clients obtained accounts to these specialized databases only to discover that "having access" did not mean having the experience and expertise needed to make the system give up that pearl of information that was going to crack the case for them. I soon began to realize that very few people knew how to do what I do! Now with the aid of the computer and the internet, Investigators could accomplish in minutes what used to take days or even weeks of legwork. but even with that, they needed someone who could guide them through the maize and find that "pearl" of information. They soon realized that although one machine could do the work of fifty ordinary men, no machine can do the work of one extraordinary man! I am that man. If you want the answer fast, call me first! To the news media: Let me remind you "It ain't news tomorrow. Tommorrow it's history"! To law enforcement and private investigators trying to locate a suspect or witness: Time is of the essence. Don't be the one to find out after you have paid for research, and traveled miles to catch up with the person you are trying to locate, that he moved a few months ago! To the general public: Sorry guys, my databases are restricted to the chosen few listed above. So if you are trying to track down that "girlfriend" that has a half dozen restraining orders filed against you, or you are "just curious" about that honey that you bought a drink for at that nightclub on Sunset Strip, you came to the wrong place!
