Note: Although the book mentions wiretap activities, the below mentioned
tapes were turned over to the FBI and contents were used in a federal prosecution
of Heidi Fleiss for income tax evasion. I testified in that trial and was
granted immunity from prosecution. For years, I was offered a great deal
of money to allow the tapes to be reproduced. I have always turned down
the offer. My decision to allow Mark Ebner access to the tapes, was based
on the fact that Heidi herself had published excerpts in her book "Pandering".
It
was my feeling that by doing so, she gave up her right to privacy. To read
what Mark has published, You will have to buy
the book. It should be further noted that at the time of this incident,
I was not a licensed private investigator. Today, as a licensed investigator,
I would not, without legal sanction, carry out a wire-tap
operation!
